So here we are months into the “Occupy movement” and it’s even less clear what this “movement” is all about. If you look at the signs at any given “occupy” location, trying to figure out what these people are protesting would be nearly impossible. It seems to me at this point these are groups of pseudo homeless people camping out in public urban spaces protesting pretty much whatever comes up. Banks are mean, the government is bad, capitalism isn’t working for me, you have too much “stuff” and I am entitled to some, and of course, the police are BRUTAL for forcing us to leave after a gazillion warnings. Look folks, everyone doesn’t get a ribbon, life is tough and more often than not, very unfair. No amount of camping will ever change that.
The next logical step has already begun to play out in cities like Manhattan where residents grow weary of these perpetual protesters. The NYPD are probably some of the most tolerant law enforcement types in the county. In one of the most densely populated cities in the world, the target of so many nut job terrorist types, the last thing the NYPD needs is to spend time corralling a bunch of whiney protesters who don’t even have the sense to figure out what it is they are actually protesting. Lazy, just lazy. The amount of restraint they have shown thus far is in my estimation, commendable. If you don’t think so, just check out the latest donut on a fishing line video, taunting the very people that protect these nutter butters. How stupid are you to cry foul after being told countless times you can’t just decide to camp out in a private park? Then cry like a bunch of spoiled entitled little kids when you get kicked out AGAIN. If it was up to me these knuckle heads would be arrested and billed for wasting NYPD time and taxpayer money. Get a life people, which means working, there will be no handouts or handholding involved. You are entitled to exactly nothing.
